Our Mission

Dear Visitor,
Our goal is to make a Freeware Software Develoment company.

Our objective is to rely on users for the definition of what programs to develop, and what functionalities to add. This is why we chose UD Soft (from User-Defined Software) as the name of our company.
We rely purely on donations to sustain the software development costs. Donations will also allow us to keep on working on patches and updates.
We think our kind of company, if economically sustainable, could really challenge the software industry as we know know it. Our company could deliver to the user the program he wants, with the features he desires, for free, allowing him to contribute as much as he thinks the program is worth to him.

This is our pilot project. If we will be able to collect enough funds to be able to payback the initial investment for the Outlook-Google Calendar Sync app we will launch the company and start investing more resources and time in this business venture.
In our forum you can already find a section for new software requests. That is where we'll start for our next phase, if this first pilot works out.

If you like the idea of a software house like the one we have in mind, please support us. Your support will be decisive.

Outlook-Google Calendar Sync V 1.0.1!

Hello everyone.
Finally we have come to make what seems to be the first stable releasable version of the program.
This version is also compatible with outlook 2007 64 bits. For these users we have added a toolbar with all the program interface commands.

Please send us feeback using the forum. Donations are always welcome, we still need to recover 290 USD of investment ;)

Please download this version from the following link:

  1. If you add support for Outlook 2011 (full program not express) I will donate $5 once I fully test it to see if it works (give me a week my dad doesn't let me on every single day)

  2. Dear Kenson,
Thank you for your interest. Outlook 2011 exists only for mac. Developing for mac requires a complete different work and would require us to more or less start from scratch. Basically it would mean start developing a completely new and different program.
This would mean that most likely developing this program could cost approximately 200 USD. Unfortunately unless we find more people interested in such a version in order to collect at least 50% if the cost in donations, we won't be able to make it.

Please post in the forum exactly the features you would like in the new app request section, so that if we should find other people interested in what you need, we would gladly develop it!

    Thank you for your interest!

  3. I guess I meant 2010. I have the latest Windows. Thanks for the fast reply!!

  4. Hello Kenson, The program has actually been developed on purpose for Outlook 2010 and it should work perfectly.
Please let us know in the forum if you should encounter any problem or bugs, we will be glad to help!

  5. i posted an issue in the forum section, please take a look (win 7 64 w/Office 10 pro)

  6. Hi Francesco,

    Thanks for developing this application.
I'm running 64 bit Office 2010 on Windows 7. I had to install .net and vsto. No problem there. I was able to install the program and enter credentials with no problem either. However, when I clicked the sync button nothing happened. I had set up a test appointment in my google calendar but it did not sync. The next time I went to open Outlook, it froze and the sync tab was not there. When I used task manager to close it, the sync bar appeared but Outlook was still frozen. I killed Oulook and tried to reopen again but same problem. I uninstalled your sync program and Outlook worked fine. I tried to reinstall 1 more time but exact same problem. After unistall, my Outlook works fine.
I would like to use and donate but unfortunately it does not work on my setup. Not sure why.

  7. Dear Grant,
I'm sorry our interface was not clear enough. The program seems to be working fine on your computer. The program syncs at outlook startup and when you press the sync button. The first sync usually takes some time, while others usually take a few seconds.
Once you install the program, insert the settings and then press sync once. Give it a few minutes. you will receive a message as soon as the sync process is completed.
The reason that your outlook freezes is that it is due to the startup sync.
Since you didn't allow enough time for outlook to complete the first long sync in the beguinning, the long sync is happening at startup.
Please just allow a little time to pass for the program to sync and everything should be fine.
Please let me know through the forum if you should have any more problems.

  8. Hello Francesco,

I did give this program a try today and it is working very nice. I'm using Outlook 2010 x64, and i must say it is just an easy plugin/program.

The only (minor) thing i do not prefer is that it is syncing when outlook is started, this results that outlook take some time to start. I think that it is better to sync after outlook is started, because this way you have te option to already use Outlook. But this is just my opinion and i'm already happy with this solution, so far the first freeware google sync solutions for outlook 2010 x64 that i found!

  9. Dear Roland,
I am glad you are happy with our program.
Concerning the Outlook startup syncronization the programmer is working on a way to run it without freezing the program itself.
We should have this feature in the next upcoming patch.
    Thank you

  10. I am geeting RSS feed full error when it tries ot sync. Is there any way I can fix that?

  11. Dear Burt,
Your error is completely new, we had never seen it yet.
Please send me the log file via email so that we can check. The log file is in "User"\Appdata\local\syncronizationlog.txt. Please send it to francescocmazza@gmail.com.
Please also make a post in the forum trying to explain in detail your error. Thank you

  12. I get an error "Execution of request failed: http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds//private/full" when trying to sync. Log is on your mail. I've tried to delete an event which seemed to get sync stuck - but it got stuck on the next one.

May be some issue with cyrillic letters? Do you use UTF8?

  13. Hello Francesco,
I get an error "string was not recognized as a valid datetime" when i start Outlook. Everything worked fine for about three days but now i received this error.
    Not sure why.

  14. Dear Patrick,
Can you please send me your log file located in "user"\appdata\local?
This should help us understand better where is the problem coming from.
    Thank you

  15. Dear Иван
I seriously doubt it is due to cyrillic.
It would seem that most of these errors are due (usually) to recurring appointments for which outlook has not written complete data, in example for events created in other versions of outlook and that had some information trucated for migration. If you don't have too many recurring appointments you could try the following that could solve the problem:

    - Open outlook
    - Delete your google calendar
    - In Outlook click on view tab->change view->list; this will show you
all the recurring appointments packed together
    - Edit the recurring settings of each recurring appointment and save
them. Any change will do. i.e. you could edit one yearly appointment
by changing it to daily, save it and then change it back to yearly and
save it again. This will correct any incomplete data
    - syncronize the calendars.

I hope this is not too much of a hassle.
If you do it please let me know the outcome.

    Thank you

  16. I get the same error "string was not recognized as a valid datetime" and i haven't even synced it for the first time? Outlook 2010 windows x64. Thanks for your time devs.

  17. Dear Scott,
What time format are you using on your computer? Is the time format on your computer the same as in the google calendar settings?
